Description

The water and sewage operations are part of the Technical Department together with the property unit and the street unit. Together we take care of parks and green areas, water and sewage treatment plants, water pipes, roads and streets, private roads, municipal properties, urban forests, and recreational areas.

We are a total of 32 employees who are committed to creating good days for our citizens. We care about a good and safe working environment.

We are now looking for 1 operations technician for our team that works with the operation and maintenance of waterworks, treatment plants, and pumping stations in Kil Municipality.

Responsibilities

As an operations technician here at the water and sewage works, you will maintain and develop our waterworks, sewage treatment plants, and pumping stations. You will be part of a work team responsible for operation, supervision, repair, and maintenance work. Your tasks will also include operational monitoring and documentation of the facilities' functions as a natural part of the job.

To ensure operations, your ability to assess and perform preventive maintenance, analyze alarm signals from the operational monitoring system, and carefully manage the facilities is essential. You should also enjoy documentation and be prepared for routine administration to be an important part of our daily work.

The job also involves working with chemicals, which means you are expected to be meticulous, responsible, and able to organize your work well.

The position includes on-call duty.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with experience in operation and maintenance work in the water and sewage process, through education or work experience.

Several years of professional experience in operation and maintenance work or knowledge of water and sewage processes is required.

Your interest and commitment to the technical sector are clearly evident, as is your willingness and curiosity to learn new things. You have good computer skills in general.

In this role, it is important to be able to work independently and in a team and to communicate clearly. As a person, you find it easy to collaborate, and you are attentive, goal-oriented, and results-driven.

Conditions

Requirement for a B driver's license.

In your position, you will work with classified information.

This means you must be a Swedish citizen, and a security check and background check will be conducted in connection with employment.

The position may also include similar tasks in Forshaga Municipality.
